Ok, what could be cooler than bad quys on moon seeking revenge against mankind? Naturally that those bad guys are nazis. As some of you might allready know, an elite group of nazis escaped to the dark side of the moon in the year 1945. In the year 2018 they are coming back. That's the basic plot of upcoming Finnish scifi-action-comedy Iron Sky. It had a world premiere yesterday (saturday 11th) at Berlin film festival Berlinale and according to at least some off the reviews people seemed to like it a lot.
For me this is interesting not just because I'm a fanboy of that kind of b-movies. I also had a change to work as a extra on the set. Picture below is taken in the corridors of a studio in Helsinki. I'm in the pic myself and as you can see I was one lucky bastard to be one of those vicious moontroopers. There were about ten of us. For the finished movie we were duplicated to be a hundred or even thousands. At least that's what director Timo Vuorensola told us. But hey, you know directors. He might have changed his mind. Artists he is, might Yoda say.
Iron Sky World Premiere outside movie festivals will take place 4th of april at least in 20 countries around the world. Keep it in mind, I have a good feeling about this.Check Iron Sky out here!
Ps. You can't talk about nazis in movies without mentioning a norvegian slasher movie called Dead Snow. It's a blood lusting story about nazi zombies seeking for their lost gold. Slogan for the flick is "Ein, Zwei, Die!" You can't go wrong with that.
